Update – New Posting Time!

Hello everyone!

Just here to let you know that I’m changing my weekly blog post time from Monday night to Tuesday night. Mondays have just been very busy and hectic, as I’m sure they are for everyone else as well.

Make sure you subscribe to receive an email every time a new post goes up! Thank you to everyone for taking the time to view my work.

Last weekend I spent sunset at Robert Moses and got lucky with some really gorgeous light. I’ll be sharing those photos in next week’s post! Below is one of my favorites from that day.

5 Reasons to Hire a Photographer for Your Blog, Brand or Business

There’s no doubt that images have become one of the most powerful methods of communication in today’s world. They are used for social media, websites, blog posts, marketing material and more. Hiring a photographer to create professional imagery will set your blog, brand or business apart from the others.

Here are 5 reasons why:

1. Product Photography

Whether it’s done in a studio setting or a natural environment that fits your brand, one of the most crucial aspects of selling your product is how it is displayed to a potential buyer. The better a product or service looks, the better it will sell.

2. Portraits & Headshots

The way you present yourself is a reflection upon your brand. A professional portrait or headshot is a must to give your social media and website visitors a good first impression. If you’re a blogger or active social media user, book several shoots throughout the year and generate a constant flow of new and original content for your followers.

3. Location Photos

Have photos taken of your business’s interior and exterior during the time of day it looks best to provide a preview of what people can expect when they visit. Share photos of the areas surrounding your location to give people even more of a reason to keep coming back.

4. Event Coverage

Hire a photographer for an event you host to capture photos of the guests, special moments and other details that you can share online for everyone to see. Measure the event’s success and spread the word by using the photos as marketing material to attract more attendees in the future.

5. Photos for Print

Refresh your home, office space or business with prints to create the ambience that best suits you, your colleagues and your clients. See what photos a photographer is currently offering for sale, or commission a personalized project to meet your specific needs.

30 Seconds of Sun & Clouds

Daytime long exposures are a real favorite of mine. It allows capturing something that can’t be seen with the naked eye. Time and movement within a still photo. The golden light and cloud trails make any landscape look absolutely breathtaking.

The photos below were all taken at Captree State Park in Long Island, New York. Enjoy.

Colorful Captree Sunset

Captree State Park is the last stop on the causeway before Robert Moses. It’s an island that offers 360 degree views of the Great South Bay and is beautiful year-round. I’ve visited the island quite a view times during the day, to fly my drone and for some alright sunsets.

But this past weekend was a real treat – after a day of shifting clouds, a dull sky and the sun disappearing, the sky lit up in hues of pink and orange. The photos below are in chronological order to display the progression of the sky. The weather was also perfect, which made for a beautiful night with plenty of photos to share.
